The latest OnePlus releases were aimed at conquering the high ranges. To conquer the skies of Android it was necessary to bet on the most powerful hardware and that forced OnePlus to raise the prices of its smartphones. Something that unconditional followers of OnePlus did not like too much.
The OnePlus Nord represents that return to the essence of OnePlus by offering mobiles at a contained price without sacrificing the quality and fluidity of use that have always characterized OnePlus mobiles. On the way, it has left some benefits concerning the OnePlus 8 that we discuss in this analysis.
The new OnePlus smartphone comes with a very contained price since the top model in the range comes equipped with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage and has a starting price of 499 euros, compared to 399 euros for the model with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal third party image reference
The quality of the finishes is maintained at its highest levels
On the day of the presentation of the OnePlus Nord, we told you that one of the characteristics that remained in the new OnePlus smartphone concerning the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro was the quality of the materials that made it up.
Among the main ingredients, we find Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and aluminum. Very premium materials that maintain the quality touch by holding the terminal in your hand. Something that also transmits its 184 grams of weight.
The hand feeling when holding the OnePlus Nord is very similar to that of the OnePlus 8 since the design with curved bezels on the back and its rounded profile is very similar in both models, making it easier to grip and fit the terminal in the palm.
Despite being made of glass, it is not the most slippery mobile we have tested. The sum between the ergonomics of the back, the materials and dimensions of 158.3 x 73.3 x 8.2 mm make the phone we are analyzing easy to use with one third party image reference
Fluent with 90 Hz and a more compact screen size
One of the main goals of OnePlus when designing the OnePlus Nord has been to maintain the same smooth user experience that OnePlus devices have transmitted since its origins. We already anticipate that fluidity will be a constant in this model and the screen will not be an exception.
It mounts the Fluid AMOLED screen, the same as its OnePlus 8 predecessors, although this time it does it with a 6.44-inch diagonal, with a 20: 9 format, but without a curve on the screen.
What it does maintain are a 90 Hz frequency and Full HD + resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) and 408 pp, thus offering a much more fluid user experience without sacrificing the quality of colors and sharpness that AMOLED panels provide.
