Microsoft continues to include new features to Microsoft Teams that you can already enjoy after the last update, but we'll also give you other updates that will be available in the coming weeks.
If you've had to telework for sure that some of the apps you're using for online meetings are Zoom but also Microsoft Teams, the latest app that's just been updated but promises so many other new features for the coming weeks.
Microsoft doesn't want to lose ground in the new niche market for group video calls focused on the world of work, and they've just released a new update to Microsoft Teams for iOS and Android that you can now download that brings a multitude of new features you've been waiting for.

Microsoft Says Teams Video Calls Surging In Challenge To Zoom

Microsoft Teams for iOS users can now upgrade to the new version that includes Cortana, an assistant that lets us send messages, make calls, and participate in meetings.
You can also download the latest version of Microsoft Teams for Android that includes a new setting to reduce the amount of data the app uses while the video is turned on; a daily agenda view of upcoming meetings; or single sign-on access for bots and tools in Teams that use your organization's credentials, among many other enhancements.
In addition to what's new, others are expected to arrive, first to the Microsoft Teams' desktop version. Among them is a new system of notifications and privacy improvements.

Support for native notifications will reach the version of Microsoft Teams for Windows and macOS, allowing you to access notifications directly through the notification hub. The feature is likely to be available at the end of this month because it has already started to be deployed to the preview channel.
We'll also have privacy improvements, which will give users better control over privacy by allowing them to disable message previews during meetings.
Finally, support is expected for fixed posts and channel responses so that we can, for example, pin a message to the top of the channel window when we want an important message to appear in a certain conversation.
