You can now play Shazam songs on YouTube Music: this is how it's done

Shazam now lets you listen to identified songs in YouTube Music

Shazam is an application known to millions of users in Spain, thanks to which we can recognize songs that are ringing at that time, even in our applications or even through the headphones. When we use it to recognize a song, that song becomes part of our music library and we can play it from other apps.

Until now, Shazam allowed us to open recognized songs in apps like Apple Music or Spotify, but now a new app is added to that list. Since users will also be able to use YouTube Music to play those songs they have previously identified.

Shazam integrates with YouTube Music
There are times when you want to be able to play the entirety of a song that you have identified using Shazam. From the app you can open these songs in music playing apps, making that process faster, by avoiding having to open another app and then search for the name and artist of that theme. Until now, Apple Music and Spotify could be used to do this. A new app adds to the list.

Since YouTube Music also reaches this list, taking it a step further to gain a presence on Android. Especially when you close Google Play Music, this app is Google's app for streaming music. So small gestures like this help increase your visibility and usage among users on Android. To open songs on YouTube Music, you need to follow these steps:

  1. Open Shazam on your phone.
  2. Tap Library.
  3. Get in the song you want.
  4. Tap the three vertical dots icon at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Select Open in YouTube Music.
  6. Tap on the song to start playing it.

If YouTube Music is the application you use to listen to music or where you have your playlists, this feature will allow you to open those songs that you have simply identified thanks to Shazam and thus listen to them in their entirety or be able to add them to your playlists. This feature can already be used in the app on Android.
