The Huawei Mate 40 Pro appears in real images: elegant and distinct

Huawei is one of the brands that has bet the most on changing a design language that looks the same in many manufacturers. This has sometimes taken it to the extreme, such as when you removed the physical volume buttons on the Huawei Mate 30 Pro.

In a few days we will be able to officially know the Huawei Mate 40 Pro, which will arrive in Spain, but today their first official images have been leaked, and the truth is that we can not say that it is ugly. Not even unsleek.

Triple rear camera

The most striking element is the camera module of the terminal, which is located in a central area and has a circular shape, such as its predecessor. It is appreciated that the typical vertical element in the upper left corner is not used as we are seeing in many brands.

This model will not be the most powerful in the company, which prepares a Mate 40 RS and a Mate 40 Pro Plus.

The main camera has a 50 Mpx sensor with an f/1.9 aperture and an optical image stabilizer. The wide-angle uses a 20 Mpx sensor and has an f/1.8 aperture. Finally, there is a 5x optical zoom (this could still change) with 12 Mpx and f/3.4.

In front, we have a sensor of 13 Mpx and a depth sensor, which will allow the use of gestures with the mobile.

Huawei Mate 40 Pro features

In addition to the design, we have been able to know some of its features, such as its display, with OLED technology, a diagonal of 6.76 inches and a resolution of 2772 x 1344 pixels. However, it will be 90 Hz and not 120 Hz like many rivals. And yes, there are curves and very steep.

The notch is removed and on-screen drilling is used to accommodate not one but two cameras. Under it is the fingerprint sensor.

We have a new processor, the Kirin 9000, with 5nm technology, such as the Apple A14 Bionic, and with built-in 5G modem. This chipset has eight cores, four of which are Cortex A55 at 2.04 GHz. Another three are Cortex A77 at 2.54 GHz and the latter is a Cortex A77 at 3.13 GHz.

Only one variant will arrive in Europe, with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory with UFS 3.1 technology. And no memory card slot as it looks like Huawei has given up with the nano sd.

The battery will be 4400mAh and will have a 65W fast charging system. Unsurprisingly, it will come with Android (in version 10) but without Google's apps and services.
