Apple's AirPods family grows with the arrival of AirPods max

And the day after the arrival of Apple Fitness+, Apple will bring to market AirPods Max, its first AirPods-branded wireless headband headphones, promising exceptional audio quality thanks to careful custom acoustic design, H1 chips, and advanced integrated software to boost computational audio through Adaptive EQ, active noise cancellation, transparency mode and spatial audio.

At the design level, Apple notes that the breathable woven mesh canopy has been designed to distribute weight and reduce head pressure, bringing stainless steel to the headband frame for strength, flexibility and comfort, and telescopic headband arms allow smooth movement and a permanent position.

Design and technology

The headband pad uses a memory foam designed to seal outside noise, seeking to achieve a completely immersive experience, and under the inspiration of Apple Watches, users will also find a digital crown to control volume, enable playback, track omission, as well as answer or end calls, and Siri activation.

In the most technical section, Apple notes that the components of the AirPods Max are horizontally spaced, highlighting its 40 mm dynamic controller of its own development, to provide "rich and deep basses, precise mid-ranges and a crisp and clean high-frequency extension" on each note, as well as a dual neodymium ring magnetic motor for permanent harmonic distortion.

Also, the H1 chip is available on each headset, with a capacity of 9 billion operations per second to enhance computational audio through adaptive equalizer functions, active noise cancellation, transparency mode and spatial audio.

Autonomy and efficiency

On the other hand, its battery can offer a range of up to 20 hours of operation for both high-quality listening, conversation or movie playback, keeping active noise cancellation and spatial audio functions enabled.

The company notes that its new headphones come with a smart case that puts them in ultra-low power mode, helping to extend battery life when not in use.

Price and availability

Apple will offer its new AirPods Max in five different colours: space grey, silver, sky blue, green and pink, priced at US$549, although in the case of Spain (and other European territories) it will be at 629 euros, being available today for your reservation, with the official arrival set for December 15.
