Zoox, that's the electric, self-contained robotaxi that Amazon is already testing

Amazon bought Zoox half a year ago and is already testing clean, self-contained robotaxi through the streets of San Francisco. It is a driverless car, compact, with high safety measures and ready to drive in large cities.

The proposal of an autonomous car that makes us Zoox and Amazon is quite peculiar, since, instead of turning an existing model into a smart vehicle, they have created a new one and have changed several aspects.

The aesthetics of this robotaxi are also striking. It is true that "modern" cars rarely seem normal or like from the first glance.

Taking a look inside the Zoox autonomous vehicle, we see 4 seats facing each other as at the 4 tables of the AVE here in Spain, we see that the seats are rigid and hard, have seat belts, armrests, space to put drinks, no steering wheel and the doors are sliding.

This autonomous vehicle has two battery packs that promise up to 16 hours of use, in addition to the two-way airbags inside the cabin, since the car has no front and "trunk", as we say in Spain.

On the outside, we see that every corner of the robotaxi is guarded by a camera, in this way, the blind spots so dangerous that it does have the current driving and vehicles.

Each camera has a 270-degree view and has a radar and lidar system to prevent shock, friction, or unforeseen events by identifying the distance of each object and warning.

Despite the ridiculous size of Zoox, 3.63 meters, and is an electric car, it can exceed 120 km/hour, a speed more than acceptable when it comes to a self-driving car focused on driving in cities.

It has not transcended if there is any limitation on the weight of the cabin, nor if it is mandatory to share the Zoox robotaxi, which distance it can travel, etc. However, that it has been tested in San Francisco is interesting, ayq eui there are many streets on the slope.
