First look at LG Rollable, LG's roll-up mobile

Curious about LG's roll-up mobile? The South Korean company has shown us the first official images of the LG Rollable, and that's what it looks like.

As part of CES 2021, LG's virtual event took place today, in which the Asian corporation has presented its news for the year that has just begun. The South Koreans have surprised us with a first and brief look at the LG Rollable, the mobile with a roll-up screen that we will know in-depth in the coming months.

While brands like Samsung have focused their efforts on developing mobiles with folding screen, LG wanted to stand out from the competition with a different smartphone than the rest. We are talking about the LG Rollable, a roll-up display terminal that we've known a lot of details about in recent months.

Even though we had seen the renders of the device, at the moment no one had been able to take a look at the actual roll-up mobile. Now, LG has let us see the first official images in a small teaser video lasting a few seconds.

If you're curious about the LG Rollable and want to see it in action with your own eyes, you can do so in the video of LG's event at CES 2021 that we've left you on these lines. You can watch it in the 2:07 minute for a few seconds, and also at the end of the conference, from the 28:28 minute to the end.

As you can see, the screen of this smartphone expands and decreases as if by magic, going from 6.8 inches to a size of 7.4 inches. This is possible thanks to its mechanism, which unrolls the panel on both sides instead of folding. Thanks to this solution, the screen is stronger than that of folding mobiles, whose panel presents wrinkles that appear with the use inevitably.

Apart from its innovative display, through rumours, we know other features of the LG Rollable. It is said that it will mount the Snapdragon 888processor, accompanied by 16 GB of RAM and a 4,100 mAh battery.

The photographic equipment will consist of a 64 Mpx main sensor, 12 Mpx ultra-wide-angle camera with Hexa Motion image stabilization sensor and an ultra-wide-angle camera of 13 Mpx.

At the moment we don't know exactly when the LG Rollable will be released, but everything points to it being next March.
