TELEGRAM LETS YOU SEE ITS NEW FEATURE TO IMPORT WHATSAPP CHATS

If you're using Telegram from your iOS device, you may have noticed an app update with one of the most popular features: a feature to import WhatsApp chats.

But if you've been overlooked, bad news, as Telegram has released a new update by canceling the previous version. Still, we can already see a small preview of Telegram's tool to import our WhatsApp chat history.

Here's how Telegram's function works to import WhatsApp chats

The feature for importing WhatsApp chats was included in the Telegram for iOS version 7.4 update. And while several users managed to update the app, Telegram quickly released version 7.4.1 eliminating this novelty.

However, it gives us a preview of what the Telegram team is preparing. The dynamics seem to be very simple, as mentioned in 9to5mac. Just open the WhatsApp chat you want to take to Telegram and choose the "Export chat" option. You have to wait a few seconds for WhatsApp to create a .zip file, and then select Telegram.

Once it directs you to the Telegram app, it will ask you which contact or group you want to associate the file with and wait for the chats to sync. This dynamic works for both parties, so your contact will also see the chat history.

And to differentiate them from the chats created on Telegram, an "Imported" tag is added with the original date and time.

For groups, Telegram will ask if you want to create one before importing the chats, so if you haven't created it yet, you can perform the process at the moment.

The description of version 7.4, not only mentioned WhatsApp, but it also included other apps like Line. So Telegram is thinking of a tool that allows users to move from other apps without leaving their history in the previous one.
