The largest photographic sensor on mobile is on the Sharp Aquos R6

If there is one element that distinguishes a high-end mobile from a mid-range mobile is its main photographic sensor. We have seen how there are already terminals with four sensors in the rear and still keep prices below 200 euros.

This shows us that quantity, resolution, but the quality of the photographic sensor itself is not important.

Sharp has this very clear and that's why he has presented a high-end terminal... with a single rear camera to take photos.

A high-end with an amazing display

This device is a high-end terminal as we see in its performance specifications, with the Snapdragon 888 as a processor and 12 GB of RAM. It does catch the eye that you only have 128 GB of internal storage.

The display is one of the most striking elements, with a maximum refresh rate of 240 Hz, which can automatically vary between that figure and 1 Hz. This makes battery savings extreme in some circumstances.

In addition, it can give us a maximum point brightness of 2000 nits, a figure much higher than the highest view so far, of 1500 nits on mobiles like Samsung's S21 Ultra.

A unique sensor in the industry

But the most curious thing is its rear photosensor with 1 inch, the largest ever seen on a mobile device and at the height of the view in some cameras. In addition, Sharp has partnered with Leica, who we do not know if she has broken her agreement with Huawei or will supplement you with it.

Keep an eye on Sharp as a well-known brand that is relevant in Japan, not internationally.

The lens of this sensor is a Leica Summicron f/1.9 lens with seven elements and minimal distortion.

Price and availability

The price at which this terminal can be purchased has not yet been announced but will go on sale in Japan on June 18. However, we doubt that you will see an exit in international markets.
