After the successful launch of Battleground Mobile India (BGMI), 34 million registered users have been created within a week of its release in the country, a top executive of the company said on Saturday, the game, which is all set to hit the Apple iOS platform soon.‎

‎According to Voyol Lim, head of battleground mobile division at South Korean gaming company Crafton, developers are trying their best to bring BGMI to iOS users in India at the earliest.‎

‎We will soon make announcements on our social media handles to keep our fans updated, Lim told IANS.‎

‎Bumi which renamed itself after banning pubgies in the country last year has seen 16 million daily active users and 2.4 million extreme concurrent users in India.‎

‎The executive said Bgmi has been specially developed for their fans in India and the company is pushing for a great gameplay experience and impassive content for fans and players.‎

‎Asked if BGMI is a toned-down version of the public, Lim said the game is powered by Crafton, a fully independent entity in South Korea.‎

‎With the launch of the game, fans in India can expect to develop their local video games as well as export to industries as well as expand a healthy gameplay environment, Lim said.‎

‎Crafton will continue to offer features and items that reflect the needs of local culture and Battleground Mobile India, including organizations and India-specific programs.‎

‎The battlefield game also reminds their players that if they play for too long they should take a break, which can be annoying for a lot of players. However, Lim said providing a secure gameplay experience is extremely important for the company.‎

‎He said the team takes great care of the health of its fans and keeping this in mind they have put advice in the game.‎

‎We are a very big advocate of responsible gaming and measures have been taken to ensure that battleground is a virtual world and a deadline has been set for gaming, as well as OTP control to parents, Lim said.‎

‎In mid-July, Crafton announced its first Esports Tournament - Battleground Mobile India Series 2021.‎

‎Registration for the tournament started on July 19 and the event will have five phases in three months. The video game developer has announced a prize pool of Rs 1 crore for this inaugural series.‎
