Alphabet Inc.'s Google (GOOGL. O) it will use in-house designed processors for its Pixel phones to be released later this fall, in a move away from Qualcomm Inc's (QCOM) technology. O) that has powered the Android search giant. devices for more than 15 years.

"We will continue to work closely with Google on existing and future products based on Snapdragon platforms," a Qualcomm spokesperson said in a statement.
