Pre-orders for the Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro are available on Flipkart ahead of the March 24 launch in India.

Pre-orders for the Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro began on Flipkart before their launch in India on March 24. A new microsite on the e-commerce platform confirms that the launch of the Realme 8 series will take place at 19:30 (IST). March 24. It also reveals the key features of the series and gives people the option to pre-book Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro smartphones. The launch of the Realme 8 series was also announced in a video posted on the Realme India YouTube channel.

Advance bookings for the Realme 8 series began on March 15 at 12 noon on Flipkart and run through March 22. To book a Realme 8 series device during the "Endless Sale" — a reference to the 108-megapixel camera that teases the series' feature — you must visit its Flipkart page and sign up. You must purchase an electronic Flipkart gift certificate worth Rs. 1080, and visit the website again on March 24, when the sale date of the Realme 8 series devices will be announced.

Pre-booking the Realme 8 series phone will also earn shoppers a 50 percent discount on real wireless stereo headphones (TWS) [Realme Buds Air Neo], released last year. They will receive a discount coupon for the purchase of TWS headphones in the Flipkart app, available for both Android devices in the Google Play Store and iOS devices in the App Store, within 10 days of receiving the Realme 8 series phone. The effective cost of Realme Buds Neo Air with a discount coupon will be reduced to rupees. 1,499.

Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro Specifications (expected)

The Flipkart page confirms that the Realme 8 series will feature a 108-megapixel camera, which has been teased several times in the past as the highlight of the series. The 108-megapixel camera will also have a 9-in-1 pixel aggregation that will help when shooting in low light. It was previously confirmed that the Samsung HM2 camera has a 3x zoom and star mode for time-lapse video shooting. However, it is expected that it will be reserved for the top-of-the-top variant of the Realme 8 Pro. The microsite says that the Realme 8 Pro will weigh 176 grams and have a thickness of 8.1 mm. The Pro variant was also recently spotted on the certification list of the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) with a 4500 mAh battery and support for 65 W fast charging.

The Realme 8's vanilla specs were previously teased by the company's CEO, Madhav Sheth, who shared an image of the device's retail box. The phone will feature a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display, MediaTek Helio G95 SoC, and a 5,000mAh battery with 30W Dart Charge fast charging support. It will have a quad-core rear camera with a 64-megapixel main sensor.

The Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro smartphones are expected to run on Android 11 out of the box.
