The new Xiaomi Mix 4 is now official and arrives in style in terms of design, power, and performance. This high-end terminal bursts into the market as one of the most interesting and innovative.

Xiaomi seems to have had enough of the front with disruptive elements such as cameras for selfies and therefore has decided that the Xiaomi Mix 4 integrates a technology capable of hiding this camera. No, it's not the first phone to do this.

Several manufacturers have opted for this, being ZTE one of the best-known thanks to the ZTE Axon 20 5G. And, although the concept is the same, the execution is different. Xiaomi seems to have won the victory in terms of implementation of this technology.

Of course, before talking about how this system works to hide the camera under the screen what it touches is to make a review of the main features. El Xiaomi Mix 4 arrives with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus processor and that is accompanied by 8GB or 12GB of RAM, the storage puts it an internal memory of 256GB or 512GB.

The autonomy is marked by a battery of 4,500mAh with a fast charge of 120W, Xiaomi states that the terminal can charge from 0% to 80% in just 10 minutes and that to do the full charge it is only necessary to wait until 15 minutes. There is also wireless charging, although this is only 50W.

So Xiaomi hides the camera under the screen in its Mix 4

The Xiaomi Mix 4 is now official, so is xiaomi's phone able to hide the camera under the screen

The screen of the new Xiaomi Mix 4 has AMOLED technology with a size of 6.67 inches, the resolution stays at Full HD + and the refresh rate reaches a respectable 120Hz. Come on, on paper, it is a good quality screen, although to be high-end you would have to reach the QHD+ resolution.

The Xiaomi Mix 4 does not have a camera for visible selfies and is nourished by the technology of the sub-pixels of the panel that can be made transparent at pleasure to let the light pass to the sensor. Yes, it looks like magic and it's strange to see a panel that is all screen on a terminal that doesn't have a camera with a mobile mechanism.

Xiaomi during the presentation has talked about this technology which they have called Xiaomi CUP. The truth is that how Xiaomi has done it is much more resulting if we compare it with that of ZTE. And, is that the camera is really hidden and the user will not be, in principle, able to find out where the camera is.

This is because Xiaomi CUP can adapt the density of pixels throughout the entire screen, in this way the user does not perceive that an area is more or less defined. As for the camera itself, this is 20 megapixels with a pixel size of 1.6μm and can group the pixels to be able to offer images in greater detail.

Of course, although the most striking is its hidden front camera the rear set is also interesting. In this area is the main sensor of 108 megapixels with focal f/1.9, optical stabilization, and PDAF focus. The secondary sensor is an 8-megapixel zoom with f/4.1 focal, optical stabilization, PDAF focus, and up to five optical magnifications. The latest sensor is a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle with f/2.4 focal.

Price and availability of the Xiaomi Mix 4

Unfortunately, the Xiaomi Mix 4 will not arrive in Spain for the moment, during the presentation it has been commented that it will be sold in China. Despite having been presented, it has not yet gone on sale and the date that Xiaomi has set for this is August 16.

As there are no official prices, currency conversions must be made, so it is always advisable to take these data as guidelines rather than definitive. There are three colors available for the Xiaomi Mix 4: white, black, and gray. All colors have a ceramic finish.
