Vivo X Fold and Vivo X Note launched: already presented and have an exquisite design

After many rumors and speculation about its launch, Vivo finally made official on Monday (11) its newest model of folding smartphone that arrives to expand the company's operations in more segments of the mobile market, competing directly with Samsung, Xiaomi, and Huawei who lead this niche.

Confirming the leaks, the live X Fold brings under the back cover a powerful processor and good specs for those who want to invest in a folding phone.

Featuring a galaxy Z Fold 3 5G-like front design, the newly released Live X Fold features a huge internal screen with 8-inch LTPO AMOLED technology, FHD+ resolution (2160 x 1920 pixels), and 120 Hz refresh rate, as well as support for HDR10+ mode and 88% space utilization.

The smartphone also features a 6.53-inch secondary (external) AMOLED E5 display, FHD+ resolution (2520 x 1980 pixels), 120 Hz rate, and 21:9 aspect ratio ensuring a greater field of view, plus a hole in the top that houses the 16 MP selfie camera with f/2.5 aperture.

The back of the foldable sports a huge rectangular module that contains leiss' quadruple set of cameras, the LED flash, and the microphone used in video recording. The first sensor has a 50 MP (f/1.8, OIS, and PDAF) resolution followed by a 5x 8 MP periscopic lens, 12 MP telephoto, and 48 MP ultrawide with 114° angle.

Moving on to internal hardware, the Chinese brand opted to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 platform — octa-core of up to 3 GHz with 4 nm lithography from Samsung — in partnership with the GPU Adreno 730 and 12 GB of RAM, a state-of-the-art set capable of delivering powerful performance for both gaming and applications.

Although it does not bring major novelties in the specifications, this is because most top-of-the-line phones use the SD 8 Gen 1 chipset, the live X Fold draws attention by having a bateria with 4,600 mAh of capacity and supports the fast charging of 66W wired and 50W per induction.

According to the company, the device can complete a charging cycle in just 37 minutes in the socket. There is no information on the time of autonomy. Finally, connectivity includes 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, and USB Type-C.
